So Colombia Pictures and Will Smith’s,company Overbrook entertainment, are in the process of developing a movie based on the popular game RISK.
Colombia’s Doug Belgrad made reference to the success of movie’s from toys and tv such as Transformers and G.I. Joe and claims that major audience’s have show a desire to see films brought to life in almost every facet. Creating a movie based on such a classic game would allow it to have true franchise potential that could stand the test of time. A RISK movie would encompass the strategic thinking and tactical gambles that players take in the game and would translate on screen quite well. Of course these elements would be brought to life in an action-packed ad thrilling story that would make it a unique and exciting movie.
I don’t know about this….. I guess we’ll have to see how this unfolds before a judgment is cast. What are your thoughts on this? Would YOU see a movie based off of a board game????
