Participating in Man On The Moon, Jim Carrey acting the recent comic actor who altered the way comedians intermingle with their audience. It starts in the early hours concerning his life while he is barely beginning to perform the clubs with his unique performance. Once he gains a small amount notoriety, he makes his way to an improve nightclub, where a talent executive (Danny Devito) is inside the audience spots Andy’s capability. Devito meets with him following the performance, and a friendship and business connection is formed.

Soon Andy has a position on Saturday Night Live, during which he does very well. Shortly thereafter, he is presented a position on Taxi, provided he plays the “foreign man” character that the studio execs adore. At foremost he resists this offer, but following a meeting with Devito, he is convinced to take on the part. His career gains momentum and audiences worship him, but he feels he needs to add a slight shock to his performance to stay at the forefront of the audience. He crowns himself the “inter-gender” champion and holds freely available events where he wrestles women, taking on the personality of a woman hater. This move during his career proves to come about a bad decision, and his fans lose attraction and many individuals hate him. After asked if they wish for him to return to SNL, the audience collectively say no.

It is at this moment that Kaufman discovers he has lung cancer. For the remainder of the movie his physical condition steadily decreases, and on one of his final shows, he tries to alter his reputation by having a completely positive program at Carnegie Hall. This proves a main accomplishment. Not prolonged afterward this show he dies, and his close acquaintances and fans attend his funeral participating in one of the final scenes. The final event within the movie shows a gentleman inside the attire of one of Andy’s characters performing next to a bar, illuminating that his legacy of messing with the audience lived on following his death.
